Master (surname)

Master is a surname, mainly found in the Gujarat and Maharastra regions of India. It is held by Zoroastrians of the Parsi communities in the area, mostly residing in Mumbai, Nashik and Pune and the southern Gujarat cities of Surat and Navsari. It is a Parsi occupational name for someone who was a master of his craft, from the English last name master.[1][2]
