Nick Pentelow (born 10 June 1951)[1] is a British saxophone player, who was the saxophonist and flautist for Wizzard from 1972 to 1975.
Biography[edit]
Pentelow was born in Guildford to actor Arthur Pentelow. From 1972 to 1975, he was the saxophonist and flautist for the glam rock band Wizzard, best known for their 1973 Christmas song "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday". When Wizzard disbanded in 1975, Pentelow recorded three studio albums with Steve Gibbons.[1] He was also a member of Juice On The Loose with Alan King and Ron Kavana in the late 1970s and 1980s.[2] In 1990, he joined Gary Moore on his album, Still Got the Blues, and played tenor saxophone.[3] In December 1998, he joined Gary Brooker of Procol Harum for a charity gig.[1] As of 2024, Pentelow is currently touring in Andy Fairweather Low & the Low Riders, led by Andy Fairweather Low.[4][5]
