Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar (born 7 March 1976), is an Indian politician and a doctor by profession from the state of Andhra Pradesh.[3] He is contesting 2024 Indian general election from Guntur Lok Sabha constituency.[4]
Early life and education[edit]
Chandra Sekhar was born on 7 March 1976[5] at Burripalem, Guntur District in present-day Andhra Pradesh in an agricultural family to Pemmasani Sambasiva Rao and his wife Suvarchala. He has a brother named Ravi Shankar Pemmasani. Being born into a middle-class family, Chandrashekar led a simple life from childhood. Although he was born in Burripalem, he spent some time in his childhood in Narasaraopet because of his father's hotel business. He showed good talent from his childhood. He completed his 10th class in 1991 and his intermediate in 1993. With aspirations to become a doctor, he secured 27th rank in the EAMCET[6] in 1993–94 and obtained a seat at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad. At that time he was praised by many people for achieving such a good rank despite studying in Telugu medium.
Political career[edit]
He is contesting 2024 Indian general election from Guntur Lok Sabha constituency as a Telugu Desam Party candidate.[7]
